What changed on 2026-08-21: reworded the Monthly Pass cancellation text (tier card and Section 4) to point to the used/unused rule in our Refund & Cancellation Policy instead of a separate, conflicting "no retroactive refund" statement.
eventsub — operated by Goh Zi Wei (sole proprietor, Malaysia; not yet registered with SSM; registration is in progress) — provides live captioning and translation for in-person events. Plans are sold as hourly or monthly packages, not by the number of languages. Prices are listed in USD, MYR and RMB below; the currency you are billed in is settled either by your location or by prior agreement between the parties. We do not apply a fixed exchange rate between these listed prices — each currency has its own set price as shown.
1. What You're Buying
Free mode — original-language live captions only, unlimited use, no payment required.
Free tier with translation — after signing in with a Google account, you get up to 30 minutes of translated captions per day at no cost, translated into Chinese and English (translation into Bahasa Malaysia and Tamil is a paid feature), subject to a monthly cap of 5 hours per account and to overall daily capacity. Sign-in is required for this tier; without it, Free mode above still works with no account. When the allowance runs out, captions keep running in Free mode — they are not cut off mid-session.

Hourly Pass
Live captions in big-screen projection mode with adjustable font size, weight and colour. The hours you purchase form a pool — start and stop as many sessions as you like, and each session simply draws down from the pool. An Hourly Pass is valid for one month from the date of activation; any unused hours remaining after that month expire.
Monthly Pass
Unlimited activity per month, up to 12 hours per day, plus a continuously updated vocabulary list and priority response during your scheduled slots. Billed monthly with no lock-in — cancel anytime before the next billing cycle to avoid the following month's charge. Whether the current, already-paid cycle is refundable follows the used/unused rule in our Refund & Cancellation Policy (Section 1): refundable in full if no session has run yet in that cycle, non-refundable once one has. Includes one Glossary Customize service per month at no extra charge.
Glossary Customize
We build a glossary for your event covering specific names and terminology, with direct human support and real-time responsiveness during setup. The glossary remains permanently linked to your account and is available for reuse in future events. Scope and turnaround for each instance are confirmed in the Order Confirmation sent after purchase.
Event Support
Direct human coordination and on-site management of screen displays, with professional technical support throughout the event day. Transportation and meal costs for on-site staff are not included and are quoted separately where applicable.
3. Free Mode & Free Trial
Free mode provides original-language captions only, unlimited use, at no cost.
The free tier unlocks translated captions into Chinese and English for up to 30 minutes per signed-in Google account per day. Translation into Bahasa Malaysia and Tamil requires a paid plan. Recognition of the spoken language is not restricted on the free tier — original-language captions cover the same ~60 languages as paid plans (and up to 5 hours per account per calendar month). Allowances are counted against actual usage, reset daily, and are also subject to an overall daily capacity limit shared by all free users — when that limit is reached, sessions continue in Free mode.
Outside the trial, features beyond original-language captions require an active paid plan.
4. Billing Units & Overage
Hourly Pass is billed against a fixed hour pool purchased up front. There is no per-session overage charge while the pool has hours remaining; once the pool is exhausted, captioning stops until additional hours are purchased. Unused hours expire one month after activation and do not roll over.
Monthly Pass covers unlimited activity up to 12 hours per day within the billing month. It renews automatically each billing cycle unless cancelled beforehand; cancelling stops the following cycle's renewal charge. Refund eligibility for the current, already-charged cycle is governed by the used/unused rule in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, not by cancellation alone.
Glossary Customize and Event Support are billed per instance / per day as ordered, per the Order Confirmation for that engagement.
5. Additional Charges
Beyond the listed plan prices, the following may add to your total cost:
Taxes. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, including Malaysian SST where it applies; tax is added at checkout where required.
Card/bank conversion fees. If your card is issued in a currency different from the one you are billed in, your bank or card network may apply its own foreign-exchange or conversion fee. This is charged by your bank, not by eventsub, and is outside our control.
Additional Glossary Customize requests. Monthly Pass includes one Glossary Customize service per month at no extra charge; further requests within the same month are billed at the standard Glossary Customize price in Section 2.
Event Support travel and meals. Transportation and meal costs for on-site staff under Event Support are not included in the listed price and are quoted separately, as noted in Section 1.
Additional hours beyond a purchased pool. Once an Hourly Pass's hour pool is exhausted, captioning stops until further hours are purchased at the listed Hourly Pass price — see Section 4.
